Terms of Service

We are a licensed and inspected farm in Washington State that is examined annually by the Washington State Department of Agriculture. 

We sell living plant material, primarily dahlia tubers and rooted cuttings. By purchasing, you acknowledge and agree to the following:

  • All orders are first come, first served.
  • Orders are not guaranteed until payment is completed.
  • We reserve the right to limit quantities, cancel duplicate or suspicious orders, or cancel orders placed using bots or the like.
  • Once an order is completed, we will not change the ship to address.  We can cancel your order, with a $15 restocking fee.  Then you can try ordering again with the correct address.

We sell dahlia tubers. Tubers are planted below the soil line and are not decorative items. We store our tubers in vermiculite or a shavings/peat combo and in an walk in cooler - we do not "wake" our tubers before a sale.  They are shipped dormant straight from our CoolBot to you.

This means:

  • Some tubers are pot tubers or grown from last year’s cuttings
  • Some tubers may be small, oddly shaped, forked, scarred, or misshapen
  • Some tubers may show cosmetic damage from gophers, moles, voles, insects, or general underground life
  • Ugly does not mean unviable

TUBER GUARANTEE

  • Every tuber sold has an eye (could be dormant), or at least one active sprout
  • Every tuber sold is viable and capable of producing a healthy plant

What we do not guarantee:

  • Cosmetic appearance
  • Uniformity
  • Size, symmetry, or aesthetic appeal

If the appearance of the tuber itself matters to you we may not be the right fit for you, and recommend you shop from another farm.

 

Ordering: Items in your cart are not confirmed until checkout is fully complete. If you notice items disappear from your cart or change to “Unavailable” during the checkout process, it is because someone else checked out and paid for the item before you. Orders are fulfilled in the order they are received. Each listing is for ONE dahlia TUBER or ONE dahlia CUTTING. Please respect the varieties that are marked LIMIT ONE. Additional tubers or cuttings purchased will be refunded and your order will be charged a $15 restocking fee. Use of purchase ‘BOTS’ is strictly prohibited and order will be cancelled and $15 restocking fee applied to order. If your shipping address is located in the state of Washington, there will be sales tax added to your order based on your location and sales tax rates.

DAHLIA TUBER SHIPPING: All orders are shipped using USPS. Unfortunately, we can only ship within the USA. Tubers will ship in April once temperatures no longer drop below freezing. We do not offer early shipping. You will receive a notification once your order has been pulled and packaged. We process hundreds of orders each season, so please be patient! If it's still April and you haven't received a notification, we are still in the process of shipping and you'll get it soon!

Shipping Cost: Shipping Cost is $18 flat rate for your order. If you use the same email address and mailing address on multiple orders, we will automatically discount the shipping price for you on each subsequent order and combine them until April 5, 2026. You will see this discount reflected before you checkout. We will NOT retroactively combine them or refund shipping fees if you choose to use a different email/addresses for multiple orders. 

Local Pickup: Yes, local pickup is available with coupon code LOCALPICKUP2026. We cannot offer refunds for local pickup if you do not use the coupon code at the time of your order. A date and time will be offered for local pickup. All orders not picked up within 7 days will be considered abandoned and returned to stock. No refund will be given for abandoned local pick up orders.

 

REFUND POLICIES: Please inspect your tubers upon arrival and contact us at alishajim@yahoo.com within 3 days of your order being delivered if you have any concerns about your tubers. Please include photos of the problems that you see, so we can best help you diagnose and resolve any issues. Once the 3 days have passed, you accept full responsibility for your tubers. NOTICE: Posting photos of your tubers on social media will void your refund request. Please contact us directly about all tuber concerns. We will evaluate photos of your tubers.

We do not refund or replace for damage due to bad weather, rot after planting, viruses, pests, poor field conditions, negligence or plant performance.

Replacements: Dahlia tubers are live plants and thus need specific care to thrive, we cannot be held responsible for the care once a tuber leaves our farm. Please open and inspect your tuber immediately after receiving and store in a cool place until planting. Store in a way or medium that will not allow the tuber to dry out or rot. We do not give refunds due to rotting in the garden due to too much rain or watering, pest damage, excessive fertilizer or failure to plant at the correct time. Mismarks happen, we are human. In the event you receive a mismarked variety please submit photos by September 1 so we can confirm it is a variety that we grew and help to identify it. A store credit will be given for the purchase price of the mismarked variety. 

Substitutions: We will never substitute one variety with another due to stock failure. In the rare event of a stock failure between your purchase date and shipping your product, you will receive a full refund of the unavailable tuber or cutting.

We are not responsible for weather issues, pest damage, or poor customer care. Every tuber I sell is guaranteed to be true to variety. A replacement tuber may be issued for a future season at our discretion. Please be prepared to provide pictures of any issues that are presented. 

Canceled Items: Once an order is placed, it is final. I cannot issue cancellations or changes to an order once it is placed.


Please do not use social media messaging to contact me as many of those messages get lost or hidden. I do not check those messages regularly. Email is the best and most efficient way to contact me. Please remember, we are a working farm, have a family and regular jobs. We will respond to you as quickly as we can.
